Antrobus House Business Centre's Dog Friendly Office Policy

Pets make our lives better in multiple ways, so provided they are well-behaved and don’t overly distract you or others, why not take them to work with you?

Proven to enhance people’s morale, lower stress levels, encourage healthy rest and exercise breaks, and generally make the workplace more enjoyable – Antrobus House Business Centre is pleased to offer Dog Friendly Office Policy.

The RSPCA advises that a dog shouldn’t be left at home for longer than four hours. As such, we’ve often found this to be a deal clincher for our office and co-working tenants, who are able to bring their furry friends to work.

Rupert, HR Officer & Head of Barketing at Antrobus House, has a few house rules for fellow canines that are considering a position at Antrobus House.

All dogs must be at least 6 months old and fully house-trained, be microchipped, and up-to-date with all vaccinations and flea/worm treatments, they must be clean and well groomed, (see our notes below on recommended dog stylists).

This is a workplace, so all dogs must be obedient, well-socialised, with no history of excessive barking or biting, chasing, or aggressive behaviour.

And, they must be covered under their owner’s homeowners/renters insurance policy, which must cover dog bites.

Dog Friendly Office Policy FAQs

Worth barking about… A Dog Friendly Office Policy can reduce stress levels, improve morale amongst employees and coworkers, promote social interaction, improve health and productivity. For your four legged friend this can help improve their social skills, provides mental stimulation and prevents any abandonment issues.

Be sure to bring your dog’s bed, blanket, food plus treats, food & water bowls, and favourite (non-squeaky) toys. And of course, if you forget anything you can always enjoy a short walk to Animal Crackers, or Pet’s Corner to stock up!

There is an ample choice of walks, close by or a short drive from our office. If you’re walking you can enjoy a stroll around the Petersfield Heath, or jump in the car and explore one of the South Downs National Park Walks; such as Hangers Way, Serpent Trail, Shipwrights Way, or the South Downs Way and soak up the panoramic view on Butser Hill.

If you require full security and a dedicated meadow to exercise your dog in then why not hire as sessions from either Daisy Dog Meadow, or Paw Paddock – both listed above.

We recommend bringing fully socialised and trained dogs to Antrobus House. Petersfield enjoys being a Dog Friendly town, with plenty of local personalities. So, if you do require support, you will find plenty of expert dog handlers and dog training sessions available.

You are welcome to visit with your dog to determine whether they are office friendly.
